Time For SISU/Trust Row To End

Anyone, who has seen the minutes of the Coventry City Supporters Consultation Group meetings or articles yesterday will have not failed to notice the on-going row between SISU and the Sky Blue Trust.

Their relationship rapidly deteriorated after SISU, as owners of Coventry City FC wanted the Trust to run coaches etc to Sixfields and faciliitate the move of the club to Northampton and did not like it when their membership, which is the biggest of any City supporter club or group, voted against the idea of working with the club over playing outside of Coventry.

The Trust Board members were and have been simply carrying out the wishes of its members.

Granted that there have been some strongly worded articles from the Trust as there have been from all sections of the media including the national print media, which SISU may object to, but the victimisation towards the Trust from first Tim Fisher and now Mark Labovitch, is wrong.

This victimisation, which was clear in Mr Labovitch's "Getting your house in order" email last week to Jan Mokrzycki, appears now to be centred around the fact that the former chairman of the Trust, is a former Coventry City Councillor!

We are all well aware of SISU's row with Coventry City Council and the impending Judicial Review, but this continual having a go at certain supporters who are involved with the Trust is nothing more than petty and does nothing to encourage club/supporter relations or encourage anyone to even turn up to a match and only adds to the public preception that SISU are more pre-occupied with trying to win squabbles than they are about turning round a football club that they have helped to bring to its lowest point.
