The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship match at Middlesbrough on Saturday is Paul Tierney from Lancashire.

Paul got into refereeing after seeing a poster advertising a referees course at a sports centre. He was appointed to the Referees list in 2008.

This will be his fourth game of the season and his first Championship match. He has shown 12 yellow cards and two reds and his last match was Burton's 1-0 win at Southend United last Saturday.

His last City game was the 0-0 draw at Reading last season.

His assistants are Paul Kettlewell from Lancashire and Richard Wigglesworth from Doncaster. The fourth official is Billy Khatib from Sunderland.
