Three More Consortiums Interested

Three more consortiums have shown an interest in buying Coventry City. The Manhattan Group is believed still to be interested along with another American consortium and two UK based consortiums.

Currently, Coventry City had debts of £34m and does not own the Ricoh Arena. With Coventry City Council rumoured to be looking at around £30m for their share which includes land and the Alan Higgs Trust wanting around £11m, plus Geoffrey Robinson and Mike McGinnity owed around £20m, it is thought that any interested party would need to pay around £100m and then provide Iain Dowie with sufficient funds when the transfer window re-opens in January in order to get the club promoted.

Covsupport understands that City will speak to all interested parties but hopes that a bidding war does not ensue.
