Former Coventry City midfielder Kevin Thornton could be joining Northampton Town.
The Cobblers have had Thornton, currently at Nuneaton Town after a spell at Coventry Sphinx, training with them and are expected to sign the player who does not have a contract.
Speaking to Nuneaton News, Nuneaton manager Kevin Wilkin said: They`ve put an offer to him but I don`t know if it`s where he wants to go, we`ll have to wait and see.
"We`ll see how it develops, he`s still our player. He wants to get back towards the level he was at and you have to understand that."
