Coventry City caretaker boss, who has a meeting later today with the club chairman Ken Dulieu to discuss his future, has spoken of his disappointment at losing to a last gasp goal at Middlesbrough.
Thorn said to the CT: "It's a sickener! I would have been really disappointed to finish with a draw, so you can guess how I'm feeling now that we've lost. I never saw that coming!"
"We were beaten in injury-time at Preston but we didn't play particularly well then. Today I thought we played some of the best football since Steve Harrison and I took charge. It takes a lot to play like that at a place like the Riverside and we didn't deserve what happened at the end."
"We were playing a good side who have only lost one of their last ten games but we controlled the match. Everything they got was from our mistakes, but I've said from the start that this is a big learning curve."

Coventry had their chances to score and put the game out of reach of Boro with the best chance falling to full back Jordan Clarke after Striker Lukas Jutkiewicz miss kicked failed to reach a Wood cross but with the open goal Clarke hit the post from less than ten feet out.
Thorn admitted is was a costly miss, but refused to blame the young defender, saying: "It was a big miss but we're all in this together."
"There were loads of good things to come out of this game and if we carry on in the same style, which is certainly what I intend to do, there are some exciting times ahead. We'll certainly win more than we lose."
