Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has again stated his desire for defender Martin Cranie to stay with the Sky Blues.

At least four clubs are rumoured to be interested in Cranie but the City boss has instructed the club to offer him a new deal and told the CT's Andy Turner: “I’ve asked the club to speak to him regarding re-signing and we’ll see where we go with that.

“I’d like to keep Martin because he’s been terrific and he’s formed a decent partnership with Richard Keogh and they are the right age for us as well.”
