Coventry City manager Andy Thorn was proud of the character show by his side in earning a 1-1 home draw against Cardiff City on Tuesday night.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Thorn said: "I think we did really well all over the pitch and the draw was the fair result I think.

"It is nice after good performances in two tough games, Southampton and West Ham, that we can finally get something on the board.

"The lads were fantastic to get back and I'm really proud of my side's character as to get yourselves up again against Cardiff isn't easy, but we did it.

"I would even say we are disappointed with one point as we feel we have probably done enough to win the game in the end as the lads did really well in the second-half.

"We will look ahead to the trip to Brighton with good form and I think we will all be confident in getting a positive result there.

"We are hitting some good form even if we haven't got the best results so we will give them a real go.

"I think over the last run of games with certain decisions and the run of the ball, it is about time something went right for us.

"Kenny Miller got in twice at the end and after we have been through recently, it was right he didn't score.

"I thought our goal was terrific, really good finish. I was surprised it was given as we haven't been getting anything at the moment but it was well over the line. We will definitely take that."
