Thorn On Why Dulieu Was Allowed On The Bench

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has explained why Ken Dulieu was allowed to sit on the bench for Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Hull City.

Despite having never having played the game and no coaching qualifications of any level, Delieu thought his role as Director Of Football Operations, entitled him to a place on the bench.

Andy Thorn, who is clear, has lost favour with some of the support for letting him anyway near the bench, told the CT: “Now he’s in his new role as Head of Football Operations, he wanted to come on to the bench and see it from there.

“I’m told everything has improved off the pitch and that’s unfortunately been at the expense of things on the pitch.

"But hopefully they can turn that around now and start putting things right on the pitch.”
