Coventry City boss Andy Thorn has warned his players not to relax as they head into Saturday's away game at Derby looking for another win to add to the 2-0 win last week over Watford.
Derby have the worst home record in the Championship, but Coventry's away record is none too impressive. Derby are one point and two places below Coventry. Middlesbrough are the team between the two teams who meet at Pride Park, but they have a game in hand on both Midland clubs and City have to visit The Riverside on Easter Monday.
Derby County boss Nigel Clough thinks his side, who are on 44 points need three or four more points to be safe from relegation.
City boss Thorn said to the CT:"You can't relax. We have got seven games and if we can take seven wins then brilliant but there will be no-one on the beach that's for sure. There will be no slacking off or taking their foot off the pedal, and if I see anyone doing that they won't be playing whether we have got players or not."
"I will play someone who wants to play if that's the case but we are getting across to them that no-one can take their foot off the pedal. We have had three tough games so far, two away to Burnley and Preston, and Watford at home."
"Preston wasn't very good in the first half but in the main we have stood up to it and I just want us to keep improving between now and the end of the season. Whatever happens at the end of the season, whether they decide to stick with me, fine. Whatever decision is made it is important that the players understand that the standards that have been set need to be maintained."
"To be successful you have to maintain your standards. When we are mathematically safe then we will kick on. We will try to keep moving up the table and make sure that our standards improve with every game."
