Conor Thomas has said that having so many Coventry born and bred players in the team is good for the City of Coventry and the Academy.

The first team squad on a match day is littered with the likes of Thomas, Jordan Clarke and others who have the CV postcode on their birth certificate and speaking to Kieran Crowley after signing a new two and a half year deal, Thomas said:"I also think it is really good for the City and the Academy as we have got a lot of players from Coventry in the squad. Sometimes, you see other clubs and it is different there. We have grown up in the City, we know the people of the City so we know what the club means to the City.

"From that, we want to do well for the club and the shirt we put on as we know better than most what it represents. If you don't play for your local club, maybe it doesn't mean as much."
