Coventry City youngster Conor Thomas was delighted with his full first team debut against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Coventry born Thomas, who rose to prominence when he was just fourteen and playing for City's U18's, had been involved in City's pre-season friendlies and has been a regular on the first team bench this season.

Speaking to Sky Blue Player, Thomas, who is expected to be in the youth team which travels to Southend United for a re-arranged FA Youth Cup tie on Wednesday night, said: "I was delighted to get on and make my debut, the main thing was that we got the win and went through to the next round. It was a good day overall.

"It's great to get on, get my debut out of the way and hopefully I can push on from here and it's the first of many. All the lads are great to be fair, any tips or advice they can give to me to help they do and it's a good atmosphere."
