According to club statistician Jim Brown, Conor Thomas' appearance for Coventry City in the FA Cup last Saturday against Crystal Palace made the midfielder the youngest player ever used by the Sky Blues in an FA Cup tie.

Thomas was seventeen years and 71 days last Saturday and his being used in the FA Cup tie made him the youngest ever City player to appear in the FA Cup since Dennis Mortimer, who was three months short of his 18th birthday, played against Liverpool in January 1970.

Jonson Clarke-Harris is the club's youngest ever player and was sixteen years and twenty days old when he featured against Morecambe in the League Cup earlier this season.
