This Is More Than A Four Horse Race - Thorn

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn feels that there will be more clubs than City, Portsmouth, Doncaster Rovers and Bristol City involved in the battle to avoid relegation from the Championship.

The midweek results which saw wins for Forest, Peterborough and Millwall have left many feeling that it is now down to three from four clubs who go down but the City boss disagrees and speaking to Sky Blue Player, he said: : "I don't think it will be between the bottom four and it will be wider than that. I've got a points total in my head as well we will take each game as it comes.

"I don't think the total will be higher than previous seasons as everybody is playing each other. There is always going to be one result down there, which upsets the apple cart.

"We got to make sure it isn't one of our games and it will be nice to have it in our own hands. I think last night was a big blow to a few teams around us who never saw us getting anything out of the game.

"It is nice to get a few good results out of the bag as that is four games unbeaten now and we can really start putting pressure on the teams above us and that's why I think more teams will be dragged into it."
