Thirteenth Unlucky For City

Coventry City have dropped from first to thirteenth in seven days after the 1-0 defeat this afternoon at Doncaster Rovers.

Wolves now top the Championship after a fine 5-1 home win against Nottingham Forest. Preston, who are City's next home opponents are second also with ten poiins after a 2-1 win against Charlton.

Birmingham are third after losing their 100% record with a 1-1 draw a Norwich City.

Bristol City are fourth. Dele Adebola netted for the Robins against QPR managed by his former boss Iain Dowie.

Sheffield United,whom City visit on September 16th drew 0-0 with Cardiff whilst sixth placed Reading beat Charlton 4-2.

Derby County are bottom of the table after a 2-0 defeat at Barnsley with Burnley in 23rd place and Crystal Palace 22nd.

Amongst the former City players on the scoresheet today were Calum Davenport and Craig Bellamy who both netted in West Ham's 4-1 win at home to Blackburn, John Eustace in Watford's 2-1 win at home to Ipswich and Baz Savage in a 4-1 win for Tranmere at home to Northampton Town.
