There's Nothing Wrong With Our Formation - Thorn

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has defended his diamond formation.

Thorn has used the tactic since he was appointed as manager last March and when asked at the weekly press conference if he would ditch this tactic in search of a win, the City boss said to the CT: "There is nothing wrong with our formation. When things don't go right some people look to panic and change things.

"In the first half we had 70% possession to Millwall's 30 and dominated them.

"All we could hear at half-time was them getting a rollicking in their dressing room, so there was nothing wrong with the formation then.

"We should have been two or three up with the chances we missed, so there was nothing with it then.

"What we need to do is make our possession and chances count when we're on top and at the moment we're not scoring when we should and when the other team is in possession they are scoring. But we will put that right."
