Coventry City Academy Boss Richard Stevens has said that Dion and Devon Kelly Evans are incredible.

Speaking about the twins from Holbrooks who have worked their way through City's Academy and into the first team squad, Stevens told the Coventry Telegraph's Andy Turner: “They have got lots of ability and they’ve got huge personalities.

“They will fight for everything. They’re competitive, tenacious and aggressive – for them, winning is the only option. They’re unbelievable characters.

“Dion’s really competitive and Devon’s a real thinker, but also competitive. Without being arrogant, they expect to do well – they’ve had to work hard for it but they’ve both got their heads down and embraced every challenge thrown their way.”

“Dion’s a right full-back but his versatility allows him to play at centre-back as well, which he has done for the Under-21s. He hasn’t got the height at the moment but he’s fit and competitive.

“Devon can play anywhere across the midfield and he can also play full-back. He plays more in the wide areas and he likes to carry the ball and attack the full-backs and create.

“But with the pair of them, you could hang a shirt on their back and go ‘that’s your role today,’ and they’d just go off and get on with it. They don’t think twice about it.

“They have been around the first team and the manager has been impressed with their attitude and that’s probably their standout feature, their attitude to work and to be successful is incredible.

“They are two great kids and it’s very difficult for them being twins because they are very similar in ability and sometimes one can pull away. But both have fantastic ability.”
