Coventry City's Gary McSheffrey says there is no doubting that Gary Deegan has his "Pitbull" tag back.
Speaking to the CT's Andy Turner, Gary McSheffrey said: "Deegs gave me the hardest tackle I’ve ever had in my life in training the other day.
“I said to Deegs at half-time when he was about to go on ‘that’s what it’s going to take because Kilkenny is running the show – somebody’s got to get hold of him.
“Fair play to him, he took a yellow card early but it’s amazing how something like that can lift the crowd and the team. It gives you that little bit of belief, that extra drive and passion.
“It shows you don’t always win football games by passing teams off the park – sometimes you’ve got to roll your sleeves up and grind it out.”
