The Jimmy Hill Way -Rochdale Day of Action Update

Last updated : 20 October 2016 By FTJHWA

Plans are now firmly in place for Saturday's day of action organised by "The Jimmy Hill Way" alliance of Coventry City supporters groups.

Following meetings with West Midlands Police and Stadium safety representatives we can now confirm the route and scheduled timings for the day.

Coventry City supporters, their families and friends, citizens of Coventry who care about the future of our football club as well as those from outside of the city who recognize the turmoil the club and its supporters are going through are invited to assemble at Holbrook Park (Holbrook Lane entrance) at 1.30pm ready for a prompt 2.00pm departure.

We will travel left along Holbrook Lane then turn right onto Lythalls Lane.
As we reach the junction with Bedlam Lane we will then pick up people from the Cherry Tree club who are unable to manage the full walk and walk down Bedlam Lane up on to the A444 marching along Judds Lane to the JImmy Hill statue.

We aim to arrive at the statue by 2.45 pm where we will make ourselves heard through kick off and beyond.

As 3pm kick off approaches we will shake hands with those going into the match against Rochdale but those remaining outside for the match boycott will continue to make plenty of noise both supporting the team from afar whilst letting SISU know clearly that the time has come for them to sell up and go.

We urge anyone unhappy with the SISU regime to turn up at Holbrook Park decked in sky blue. Bring your banners and flags. If you have a musical instrument or whistles bring them along as we intend being very very noisy. This is not just a protest it is a joyous celebration of OUR football club. A club that we will not allow to die.

Following on from the high profile raised at Charlton this is another opportunity to get the clubs plight in the spotlight.

You know what Jimmy Hill would have done. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday.
