The Fans Will Come Back - Mowbray

Coventry City manager Tony Mowbray feels that if the team keep doing what they are doing then City supporters who are staying away will return.

Just under twelve thousand tickets were sold for Saturday's win over Peterborough and many thousands continue to stay away from home City matches for a wide variety of reasons whilst the club still struggle to recover from having lost thousands of supporters who found something else to do on a Saturday when the club was moved to Northampton by the owners.

Mowbray told Keiran Crowley: "I'm very mindful of not telling people to turn up.

"There's plenty of Coventry fans out there who maybe aren't turning up at the moment but if we keep doing what we're doing, they'll turn up.

"Because we don't own the stadium we don't have the full revenue streams you know, when you sell pies and cups of tea etc.

"That's why it's a fine balance for me, because the budgets are extremely tight and if I was sitting with nothing to do with this club, I'd think Coventry City are a big club in this league with good support.

"It is little fine details, a little more on the gate could get us another footballer in the door, but again I'm not telling people how to spend their money."
