Coventry City defender Ben Turner has been talking about his season and his form of late.

"I am pleased with my season generally, having come in and been able to show the manager what I can do, but I am not pleased with the last few weeks personally," said Turner, who has come through the City ranks to the CT.

"But that's life and I have got to take that into the summer and come back stronger.

"I think I am a better player this season than I was last season and I intend to be a better player next season than I am this.

"I try to keep things simple and I am young enough to improve again

"But I have not been pleased with my form recently. I am doing the same things, or trying to do the same things, but have just made a few little mistakes that I am not happy with.

"I gave a penalty away at the weekend and no-one likes that. "Scott gave two away in home games last season and took it on the chin and got the captaincy.

"But I am not happy with the pen and a few little things that I feel I could have done better, but I am sure there are a few of us who are not happy with their form at the minute compared to a few months ago.

"I don't think it is a case of tiredness creeping it. "The lads are fresh enough and if we looked at the stats we would be covering the same ground as earlier in the season.

"Maybe there is a bit of tiredness but Watford would have been the same, so it was a level playing field.

"It has just not been going well for us lately whereas in the middle of the season we beat Wolves and Birmingham and had the cup run and it was going well for us, but that's football and that's life.

"You have some good times and some bad times and we are having a bad run now."
