Coventry City manager, Chris Coleman has confirmed that in form 'City midfielder, Isaac Osbourne will be out injured until Christmas because of what Coleman termed "bad bone bruising".

Osbourne is just one player in a long list of injured players. Ben Turner, Keiren Westwood, Stephen Wright and Sammy Clingan are all out at the moment as is Marcus Hall who has been on compassionate leave following the death of his father, Eroll..

Speaking to the CT, Coleman said, "We have got no Ben Turner, no Isaac Osbourne, who will be out until at least Christmas, so it has been an absolute nightmare in terms of injuries, We are going to miss Isaac, who has arguably been our best central midfielder since we lost Sammy Clingan.

"He has got bad bone bruising on his knee and for him not to play there has got to be something wrong".

"Danny Fox had it last year and it is a condition that you can play with it but it can lead to something else, while Ben has done his ankle and that's six weeks".

"Stephen Wright has got bad bruising on his foot and if he plays on Saturday he is going to need an injection, and Marcus Hall is still not 100 per cent fit but we could do with his experience."

On a more positive note though, some of the players are on the verge of making a welcome return to fitness.

Chris Coleman explained, "We don't know about Keiren Westwood yet and we will see how he reacts to training this week but I won't be uncomfortable with Dimi because he hasn't done a lot wrong, so I will wait to see how he feels. "

"We have got Besty and Jack Cork to come back from international duty and Aron Gunnarsson trained this week after playing 70 minutes for Iceland at the weekend."

Coleman added his thoughts about Sammy Clingan, saying, "It would be hard to put Sammy straight back into the team because he is still sore and he is going to need at least one reserve game because it is a long time he has been out. He steadies the ship for us and dictates in the midfield, so we have missed that."

Defender Marcus Hall has told the club that he is ready to come back. He said, "It has been well documented why I have been away from training and match days and it has been difficult to concentrate on anything but my my family. The fans have been fantastic in their support of what has been a very difficult time for me and my family, so now I hope to put myself in contention for a first team spot again as soon as possible."

Keiran Westwood is also hoping to reclaim his place between the sticks in place of Konstantopolous. He has been out for three weeks with a problem in his lower back.

Westwood said, "I was obviously gutted to miss the trip with Ireland, but could have gone and done both myself and my county and a disservice and I think the decision to make sure I was fit first and foremost was the right one because first and foremost it's my form for Coventry that counts".

Westwood hopes to be fit for Saturday's clash with Crystal Palace.
