Jay Tabb has said that he would like more involvement with the Republic Of Ireland national team.

Tabb was involved in Steve Staunton's squad at the end of last season and the signing from Brentford who scored in his first game for City at Portland told Sky Blue World: "I know there were a few injuries towards the end of the season and that's why I got in the squad, but I got there and I thought I did ok in training and obviously it helped to have Michael Doyle there as well, he was helping me out.

"It's going to be hard when all the players come back from injury and I'll drop back down the pecking order for the national squad again but if I can get in the team here and play well then who knows."
