Jay Tabb has had a successful hernia operation and hopes to be back for City's next game at home to Norwich City on September 9th.

The former Brentford midfielder picked up the injury whilst training with the Republic Of Ireland U21's and flew to Germany for the operation last week.

Tabb told the club website: "The operations went well and although it was painful to start off with it has settled down well and I'm hoping that I will be able get back into training as soon as possible and take it from there.

"The procedure involved two operations and I'm just glad that it has all been done and I can hopefully look ahead to returning to action and I would definitely hope to be back fit in time for the Norwich game."
