Swanson Sent Off For Fighting His Own Player

Former Coventry City midfielder Danny Swanson has been sent off for fighting his own player.

Swanson, who now plays for St Johnstone, was red carded for an altercation with teammate Richard Foster just after the half-time whistle in a 1-0 defeat at Hamilton.

St Johnstone have confirmed that both players have been suspended. 

Amongst the former Coventry City players on target today were :

Former City loanee Matt Pennington scored for Everton but they lost 3-1 at Liverpool in the Mersey derby.

Former City loanee Grant Ward scored a 72nd minute equaliser for Ipswich Town in a 1-1 draw with Birmingham City.

Former City striker Cody McDonald scored in the 56th minute of Gillingham's 3-2 defeat at MK Dons.

Former City youngster Iyseden Christie scored for Bedworth United in a 2-2 draw at Shaw Lane.

Former City midfielder Kevin Thornton scored for Coventry United in a 1-1 draw away to Shawbury United.
