Sutton The First Referee Of A City Game In 2014

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City League One fixture at Rotherham United on Wednesday is Gary Sutton.

Mr Sutton started refereeing at 14 and he has taken charge of the Division 2 Play-Off Final at the Millennium Stadium in 2004 between Bristol City and Brighton and the second leg of the 2005 FA Youth Cup Final between Ipswich and Southampton.

His last City game was the 1-0 defeat to Yeovil Town at the Ricoh Arena last February and previous City games he has been in charge of are: the 3-1 home win over Middlesbrough in January 2012 and the 2-1 defeat at Swansea City in September 2010.

This season, he has had 14 games and shown 47 yellow cards and three reds.

His Assistants are Simeon Lucas and Matt McGrath. Fourth Official is Paul Cook
