Coventry City have issued the following statement:

"The installation of the electronic scoreboard at the Ricoh Arena has been delayed. The state-of-the-art equipment – which can show video replays as well as football scores and other messages – was originally planned to be ready for the game against Luton Town this Saturday. (October 29). Coventry was the first football club in the country to install the electronic scoreboard in 1964 and the new hi-tech version will be amongst the best in the country. It will be placed in the corner of the Jewson South Stand and the ntl East Stand but has been delayed by about a month – in time for the visit of Norwich City on November 26 at the latest.

Paul Fletcher, Chief Executive of the Ricoh Arena, said: “It is unfortunate there has been a delay but we have had to take this decision for reasons out of our control. “We are endeavouring to ensure that it is installed as soon as possible and I hope that when it is completed, fans will agree with me that it has been worth the wait.”
The scoreboard is due to show a pre-match programme before the game and if both managers agree then the game will be shown live on the screen.
