Ever mindful that his job also entails getting backsides on seats at the Arena, Coventry City manager Iain Dowie feels it is important that City supporters have something to look forward to next season.

"Our fans, to be fair, have seen too many of those results and that reaction on Saturday was a result of that," said Dowie to the CT about the defeat against Preston.

"They are disappointed with the whole season. People say I had an incredible run but we got beat 4-0 at home and that shouldn't happen.

"Did we deserve to lose 4-0? Probably not, but that doesn't matter because we are in a results business.

"So I think the fans are looking to see who we bring in. "I think they are looking for that and if it is Operation Premiership, they are looking to see what it is."

Meanwhile,City have announced that they are not looking to extend their "Early Bird" prices for season tickets beyond the current May 8th deadline.
