According to Football Supporters Federation Caseworker Amanda Jacks, football supporters involved in protests could be labelled as a "Domestic Extremist" by police who could enforce banning orders on them.

Jacks, who tweets under the name @FSF_FairCop, tweeted: Fans aren't but police will keep records on 'risk' fans including who they associate with & their match day movements.

"Records can be kept for upto ten years, often without fans knowledge, and used for civil banning order applications.

"Civil banning orders may be applied for even if the supporter has never committed or been convicted of a criminal offence.

"A court hearing will be the first time a supporter will be able to challenge data & only if they choose to contest the ban application."

There is currently no information available to say how many Coventry City supporters are currently classed as "Domestic Extremists"
