Supporters Group Latest Part 1

Last updated : 04 December 2006 By Cosupport/SB

Today saw the final Supporters Consultative Group (SCG) meeting of 2006 which covered a number of topics and at times included some lively debate!

A number of issues raised at the previous months SCG meeting, such as the congestion for the toilet facilities in the East Stand, have been passed on to Arena Coventry Ltd (ACL) by the club.

The group were advised that improvements had been made to the PA system by the contractors Laing O'Rourke, and the group were asked if any supporter responses had been received following the Stoke match. The only comment made was that the PA was too loud! But that the sound quality had definately improved.

Following the publication of the ticket bundle packages instead of the more traditional half-season ticket, the club are looking into the possibility of a promotion for season ticket holders where they will be able to bring a friend to a match for free subject to seat availability. The club will confirm this idea in due course but it was suggested that this might apply to the home match against Luton at the end of January.

Also following a suggestion at a previous meeting the club are looking into the providing subsidised coach travel to the away match at Plymouth on Monday 22nd January. Indicative travel prices of £10 per person would hopefully ensure that many more supporters would make the trip, and again this will be confirmed by the club if this idea gets the go-ahead.

Following the playing of the Hi Ho Silver Lining song as a tribute to the sad loss of life for the two Sheffield Wednesday supporters, following last seasons match at the Ricoh, the club have received very positive responses from general media and Sheffield Wednesday supporters alike.
