Supporters Asked To Keep Off The Pitch

Coventry City have issued the following statement.

"City fans are urged to continue their superb record of behaviour at end of season fixtures, and refrain from going onto the pitch at the final whistle on Saturday. The Club understands the significance of the day, with Highfield Road closing it's doors after 106 years, but fans are reminded that encroaching onto the playing area contravenes FA and Football League regulations and is a criminal offence.

The players will do a lap of honour at the end of the game and it would be disappointing if this had to be cut short or cancelled because of fans coming onto the pitch. The Club would also like to point out that although this is the last game at Highfield Road we do have a number of charity games arranged and want to avoid expensive repairs.

The Sky Blue army has always given the Club great support and with Saturday being a sell-out we are hoping it will be a great send-off for our home of so many years, and we want all of you to enjoy the day and roar City on to victory."
