Coventry City manager Chris Coleman has taken a massive boost from the amount of season tickets sold during the last two-three months.

Sales could be their biggest since City moved to the Ricoh Arena in August 2005 and Coleman is grateful to those who have shown support by buying season tickets.

Speaking to the CT,Coleman said: "I asked the club's supporters to back us through difficult times and they were superb so to hear how many season tickets we have sold is great news.

"Most of the supporters have been used to top flight football so to have seven seasons without ever being in the play-offs is hard.

"I have said all along that this is a big club with a big fan base but it is up to us to bring them to the Ricoh by the way we play and that is the aim.

"I am not putting my players under any pressure but they know what to expect."
