Coventry Sphinx came back from a goal down to beat Ellesmere Rangers 2-1 in a Midland Alliance fixture.

After a minute's silence was held to remember former Sphinx Defender and junior team manager Paul Gibbons, Connor Courtney fired the visitors from the Welsh border ahead in the eleventh minute on a windy afternoon at Sphinx Drive.

With five minutes of the game remaining, Rickie Cutting drew Sphinx level and on ninety minutes, they were awarded a penalty with Kiam Galdins converted to give Sphinx a 2-1 win.
