Suffo may have blown it

Chances for a first team start for Patrick Suffo could be limited following comments by City manager Peter Reid.

The City boss said:"Patrick is a strange one. "I decided to give him his chance against Preston but as hard as he worked I tend to agree that he looks more lively when he comes on in a game. "The other night we just couldn't get him free around the box where he likes to get his shots in."

With Stern John slowly progressing after his foot injury sustained during the win over Reading, Reid may well be tempted to being back the Trinidadian for the trip to Leicester on Monday.

Suffo feels his form is good and told the club website: "It’s a problem point for me but I’m not worried, as long as I keep working as hard as I am now.

"It’s sad to be in the squad because someone else is injured. As a team player you never want your teammates to be injured. I’m happy to be playing but I hope that he comes back as soon as possible for the team because we all play for the same goals. I don’t want to play because someone is injured, I want to play because I deserve to."
