According to media reports, former Coventry City youngster Daniel Sturridge has joined Bolton Wanderers from Chelsea on loan for the rest of the season.

"Well I think at this time there are always a host of names bandied about," Coyle told Sky Sports.

"What I would say Daniel Sturridge is, as we all know, a fantastically talented player."A player who I believe is one of the best, if not the best, young strikers in the country and a player who I believe with the platform of the Premier League will get better,

"You are always looking to bring in players into the football club that can help.

"We certainly would love to add another player to the squad we have and we are doing our utmost to bring that to fruition," he added."It won't be through lack of effort or want of trying but there are still a few boxes to be ticked before that can happen."

Sturridge has struggled to get into a Chelsea team which has been linked today with a £50m move for Liverpool's Fernando Torres. He joined Chelsea from Manchester City who had to pay compensation to the Sky Blues for taking their youngster then aged 15.
