Former Coventry City youngster Danny Sturridge is undergoing a medical at Liverpool.
Sturrdige has struggled to establish himself in the Chelsea team since his move from Manchester City and has only had one Premier League start this season.
The deal looked to have collapsed over a public row of agents demands but the £12m deal is close to being finalised on a three and a half year contract.
