Sturridge, Fowler And Baker Amongst The Goals

Amongst the former Coventry City players on target this afternoon were:

Former City youngster Danny Sturridge scored on his first game back for Liverpool after a five month injury lay-off. Sturridge came on in the 68th minute and netted twenty minutes later in a 2-0 win against West Ham United.

Another former Coventry City youngster Lee Fowler scored on his debut for Crawley Town. Fowler is on loan from Nuneaton Town and scored in the 88th minute to give Crawley a 2-1 win over Preston North End.

Former Coventry City captain Carl Baker scored in the 72nd minute of a 5-0 win for MK Dons at Crawley Town. Baker, scored with a curler which helped send the Dons to the top of the League One table.

Former Coventry City forward/midfielder Gary McSheffrey scored for Scunthorpe United in a 4-1 win at Leyton Orient. McSheffrey scored in the 28th minute for Mark Robins side with a neat finish.

Rory Donnelly, City's one day wonder, scored for Tranmere Rovers in a 2-1 win at Exeter City.

Former Coventry City striker Robbie Simpson scored in the 86th minute of Cambridge United's 3-2 defeat at Luton Town.
