Coventry City Ladies, sponsored by Cassidy, demolished Loughborough students 9-0 in their first away game of the season.

Yvette Dolphin opened the scoring seven minutes into the match after being set up by Kirsty Robson.

Robson then claimed a goal of her own with a well composed shot midway through the first half.

Dolphin scored her second of the match on thirty six minutes with a speedy run and good finish.

Mel Byrne made it four for the Sky Blues with a lovely lob over the goalkeeper from the left hand side of the penalty area. She scored again just four minutes later with a close range shot following a cross from Kirsty Robson to make it five-nil at halftime.

New substitute Natalie Brace scored the opening goal of the second half, Coventry's sixth, within five minutes of making her entrance.

Kelly Henson then coolly put away a shot on sixty seven minutes to make it seven-nil.

Coventry's last two goals were scored by substitute Sinead Wade to complete the rout, both with clinical finishes.

Coventry manager Stuart Wilson said he was surprised that nobody scored a hat trick with two players on a two goals at halftime, “the chances that came Mel and Yvette's way in the second half were few and far between. Bringing Sinead on, she got in the right positions to score goals and give them a new problem. Sinead got two, but should've got three, but decided to pass”
