Stroud In Charge For City's Trip To Plymouth

The currently appointed referee for Coventry City's Championship fixture at  Plymouth Argyle is Keith Stroud from Hampshire.

Keith was appointed to the Select Group Referees list in 2007 after serving for three years on the FIFA International Assistant Referees list.  He got into officiating after being left out of his parks team and having to run the line. A good game on the line saw the referee give him details of a refereeing course, which he duly attended and passed. Mr Stroud believes that 'a smile on occasions helps to diffuse situations and helps to encourage positive interaction from referee to player/coaching staff etc'.

His last match was Derby's 1-0 win at Watford on Saturday and his last City game was the 0-0 draw with West Brom. He has had thirteen matches so far this season and has shown 54 yellow cards and seven red.

Assistants are Geoff Law from Leicestershire & Steve Rubery from Essex.  The Fourth Official is Brett Huxtable from Devon.
