Scottish FA CEO Stewart Regan has said that former Coventry City player and manager Gordon Strachan is doing as much to rally the Scottish nation as Nicola Sturgeon.
"It's too early for talks," said Regan to the BBC. "We're concentrating on qualification for now, but Gordon has done as much as Nicola Sturgeon to rally the nation.
Strachan's Scotland travel to face the Republic Of Ireland this week end speaking about Strachan's contract, Regan said: "Gordon is relaxed about it.
"We'll have that conversation at an appropriate time.
"I'm sure Gordon is an attractive option for clubs, but he likes this job.
"He likes the fact he can dip in and out. It fits his lifestyle.
