Strachan Was My Favourite - Pressley

Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that his boyhood hero was former Coventry City player and manager Gordon Strachan.

When asked at yesterday's weekly press conference about his favourite player, Pressley replied to the Coventry Telegraph: “Strangely enough it was Gordon Strachan. Until I joined Rangers when I was 12 I was an Aberdeen fan – those were the Fergie years and obviously Gordon was one of the key players in a very good side.

“Also, although you might not believe it, I was a wide player back then so I tried to model myself on Gordon.

"He is still based down here so a while back I had dinner with my boyhood hero which was a tremendous privilege for me.”
