Former Coventry City player and manager Gordon Strachan is expected to become the new boss of Celtic.

The moves comes as Martin O'Neill is poised to resign after his side lost the Scottish Premier League title with a 2-1 defeat at Motherwell which handed rivals Rangers who drew at Hibs the title.

Craig Bellamy played for the Celts in what will be his last game north of the border before he returns to Newcastle to look for a club for next season.

Gordon Strachan was manager at Southampton after he was removed from office at Highfield Road in September 2001 and is a regular pundit for the BBC.
