According to a tweet from the Coventry Telegraph's Simon Gilbert, Arena Coventry Limited have not received payment from SISU/Coventry City with regards to the monies owed to them.
The Football League has said that the club had to pay Arena Coventry Limited £590k by May 31st. However, the Sky Blues issued a statement on Saturday saying that they were seeking actually how much they did owe.
Mr Gilbert also tweeted that the situation was as clear as mud and no update was expected for a week.
The news has sparked fears amongst some City supporters that the club may face more sanctions from a deduction of points to the club being relegated one or two divisions.
