Stewards Sent To Spy On City Fans

Supporters at the games against Eircom League Division One sides Athlone and Galway United were spied on by CCFC club stewards. One of the stewards who watched the defeat at Athlone but stewarded the match at Galway United admitted to a City supporter that he had been asked to come out to Ireland due to the "trouble" in Ibiza.

Why City, who are rumoured to have paid Galway United £5,000 to play the Sky Blues, decided to do this is unclear, but it was a waste of time and money as there were only four supporters who were at all the matches in Ibiza and Ireland on the tour and all were on the official trip "organised" by Playhard Sports for the tournament on the Spanish Island.
