Steve Wants More Local Youngsters To Support City

Steve Brown is chairman of the Sky Blue Trust. ‘I believe strongly in what the Trust stands for,’ he says, ‘and I want to make sure the supporters are very much part of the future of our great club.’ Steve is a passionate Coventrian and supporter of all things Coventry. He and his wife have been active fans together since the 1970’s.

‘That day in 1987 will stay with me forever. Although Mandy was pregnant, we went to every match. Saturday never feels right without going to the game and I have followed City at all but seven League grounds. I am proud that our three children all support Coventry City.’

‘I am well known in the area as a rugby player,’ he continues, ‘and still very much involved with local clubs.’ It’s a standing joke that Steve, every inch a rugby forward, once bounced Brian Kilcline out of a nightclub for wearing trainers. ‘Killer’ was on crutches at the time!

‘I run a small family business, supplying the architectural industry. I am also founder member of Coventry Bears (American Football).

‘It’s important that the football club and fans work together in getting us back to where we belong. I want to encourage more local youngsters to follow the club.’ Steve concludes: ‘Let’s all move forward with a positive view.’
