Stern John is expected to make his 100th international appearance for Trinidad & Tobago tonight against Panama. It could be the City striker's last game for his country if the mass retirement amongst the Trinidad players goes ahead.

The striker alongside Chris Birchall will miss Friday's game at Southend and this has not pleased Micky Adams who told the CT: "Trinidad originally said they were playing Nicaragua and Panama and they ended up playing St Vincent and Grenadines - some pub team! I just can't understand it.
"I don't stop anyone playing for their country and I welcome my players being called up by their national teams, but I really do object to the fact that they didn't play who they said they were going to play, and it is two meaningless friendlies.

"These fixtures were on the international calendar so we had to release them regardless, but any more friendlies that don't fall in the calendar I will not be releasing either player.
"I don't care if they want to go - they are not going. "We have tried to co-operate fully with the Trinidad and Tobago FA and since I have been here as manager I have never stopped people going before, but any that don't fall in the calendar, they won't be going."
