Former Coventry City defender Stephen Pressley has retired from playing.

The 35 year old Scot made 19 Premier League appearances for City and will be remembered by City supporters as one of the worst centre halves in modern times, is going into coaching.

He had been playing for Scottish Cup Finalists Falkirk and has also played for Rangers, Dundee United, Hearts and Celtic.

"To be honest, it was a relatively easy decision for myself and that's why I knew it was the correct time," said Pressley to a Hampden Park press conference this lunchtime. "I made the decision several months ago."
