Stay Off The Pitch Supporters Warned

Coventry City are asking supporters to stay off the pitch after Saturday's game with Morecambe FC.

The game has plenty riding on it with a play-off place for the Sky Blues and the Shrimpers looking to avoid dropping into non-league football and the club are asking supporters to stay off the pitch:

The club, who are also advising supporters to arrive early, have said:

"Fans are also asked not to enter the field of play at any point during or after the game.

This is for the safety of players and officials, and fans themselves – it is also a criminal offence to enter the field of play. It is also important that the pitch is protected for any potential play-off games that may be played at the Ricoh Arena in the coming weeks.

The Coventry City squad and management will stay on the pitch after the final whistle to thank fans for their support during the 2017/18 season, however if fans are on the pitch then this will not take place.

We therefore ask fans to remain in their seats during and after the game to ensure the day is enjoyable and safe for all supporters"
