Stack Of Players Offered To City

Coventry City Caretaker Manager Lee Carsley has admitted that he has been inundated with calls from agents trying to offer him players.

However, with the Sky Blue purse strings exceedigly tight, City are unlikely to take many up on their offer.

Speaking to the Coventry Telegraph, Lee Carsley said: "I’ve been getting a lot of phone calls but they must think I’m still at Everton bearing in mind some of the names they have been bandying around. I don’t think we’re in that market!

"There will be chances to bring people in if we need to but I don’t want players who are the same as what we’ve got.

"If we’re going to bring in a 21-year-old centre-half, for instance, is he going to be better than Nathan Cameron or Jordan Willis and what does that do to them or the squad?

"We’ve got some really good players at this club and I think they should be given the chance to impress before we look outside."
