The Northern Irish U19 international keeper played for the Academy last week in a re-arranged game at Cardiff City and was named as the keeper for the Reserves game at Spurs which was postponed.
Tuffey had the number 34 shirt last season and has played four times for the reserves this season. He is captain of the Academy side.
