Former Coventry City midfielder Tim Sherwood has been appointed manager of Tottenham Hotspur.
Sherwood, whose time at Coventry City is best consigned to the history books, took over following the dismissal of Andre Villas Boas last week and has been in charge for two games.
There was speculation amongst some of the national press yesterday that he would be appointed by Daniel Levy and tonight, Sherwood has been given the manager's job for the rest of this season and the whole of next season.
